Win a Microsoft X Box

In the run up to Bonfire night the firefighters of blue watch from Sheldon fire station held a competition to raise awareness of firework safety for local school children.

The prize was an X Box kindly donated by Jungle.com and all the answers were to be found on Sheldon's and Jungles websites.

Well over 500 entries were recieved many of which contained the correct answers so it came down to the tie break question; how many calls would the station recieve on November 5th.

Sarah Curry of Ridpool Junior School, Lea Village was the lucky winner, not only did she answer all the questions correctly but her guess of 31 was only two short of the actual number of 33.

Well Done Sarah!

We also recieved some excellent paintings and drawings with some of the entries, we have decided to give a prize for the what we think gets across the firework safety messages taking into cosideration the age of the artist.

We have now been given by the very generous Jungle.com a Wide Colour Screen Gameboy Advance. The winner will be chosen from the pictures below. We will present this prize at the school of the winner soon as a surprise.

The winner was Luke Parks from Colebourne Junior and Infants School who recieved a Gameboy Advance.

This competition was open to all Junior Schools within the Sheldon Community Fire Station area.
