Below is a list of some of the types of incidents we have attended in the past couple of months. We will be constantly updating this list. Some also contain links to pictures.

  • House fire, child with lighter.

  • Full Emergency Birmingham Airport. Aircraft landing on one engine.

  • 1 lorry, 1 drop-side lorry and a car on fire all in a row.

  • Lots of grass fires, set by children.

  • Smell of smoke in general area??????

  • petrol bomb on roadway.

  • Person trapped under heavy machinery.

  • Full emergency at the airport with a plane landing with a broken windscreen.

  • Kitchen fire. Click here to see damage

  • Full Emergency Birmingham Airport. Aircraft landing with one engine again.

  • Lots of Bonfires which when we try to put out in certain areas we get stones thrown at us from kids as young as 5-6years old!

  • Person locked out of flat

  • Youths stolen and crashed car into a lamp post outside Halfords. Click here to see pictures

  • Garage/Lock up fires.

  • Fire on a landing above shops (malicious) with the residents in the flats unable to get out, luckily we got their in time. It was so hot a visor melted on one of our helmets, See the picture here.

  • Barn on fire

  • Van crashed into a parked van on a perfectly straight road, there was a very strong smell of alcohol from the driver,  the police followed the ambulance containing the driver with minor injuries to the Hospital.

  • We have had bottles thrown at us by youths while trying to put out more bonfires.

  • Fire in a fuse box of a flat on the 6th floor of a block of flats.

  • Flooding

  • Car crashed into bus one person deceased.

  • Bedroom on fire caused by unattended tea light (candle).

  • Car fire (stolen)

  • House fire, downstairs gutted, nobody hurt. Reported on front page of Solihull News.

  • Electricity supply box for 3 houses on fire, big explosions and flashes.

  • Garage at rear of house with Acetylene and Propane cylinders. The Acetlyne cylinder needed to be immersed in water for 12 hours as it had been heated in the fire and could still explode a long time after it had been removed due to the contents having a chemical reaction.

  • Fire in a steel factory.

  • RTA (fatality)

  • RTA person had a blown out tyre and swerved into tree. We have noticed that the worst object to hit is a tree, it doesn't move unlike lampposts and walls which usually bend or crumble.

  • Car smashed into front of cake shop (guess what we had for dinner)

  • Car on fire in drive which had started to burn the windows of the house.

  • Large fire in local CO-OP, 12 machines, pictures to follow.

  • Chemical incident where we had to wear chemical protection suits.

  • Harris Hawk trapped in television aerial and being attacked by other birds, he was alright in the end.

As you can see we go to a wide range of incidents  which we will keep adding to as we attend them.
